Sequoia Capital India buys shares worth $94.8 M in SaaS unicorn Freshworks
Sequoia Capital India has purchased 5.48 million common shares of Nasdaq listed SaaS firm Freshworks worth USD 94.8 million. Sequoia, a 10% shareholder in Freshworks, bought the shares at USD 16.46–18 apiece. Freshworks had raised over $1 Billion via its IPO in September 2021 at a per share price of $36.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Nov-11 and Jul-20, Freshworks had raised $484-M from Steadview Capital, CapitalG, Accel India, Sequoia Capital India, Accel USA, and Tiger Global.
