Singapore's Sheares Healthcare acquires hospital chain Medica Synergie for $100-M
Singapore-based Sheares Healthcare Group has acquired a controlling stake in Kolkata-based Medica Synergie Pvt Ltd, which runs a chain of hospitals, for around USD 100 million. The transaction, a combination of primary and secondary stake sales, is expected to help Medica cement its leadership position in East India. The promoter team will continue to drive Medica's next phase of growth. Advay Capital Advisors was the financial advisor to Medica and its promoters for the transaction.
