Economic Times

Mumbai-based sneaker reselling platform Mainstreet Marketplace has closed a USD 2 million (around INR 16 crore) seed funding round from a clutch of investors, including Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal (via First Lap LLP), Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and Abhijeet Pai (via Gruhas Proptech), Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar, Spotify India MD Amarjit Singh Batra, and other angel investors. The startup plans to use the new funds to hire senior management talent, and expand its brick-and-mortar presence to more cities. The startup closed FY23 with INR 24 crore in revenue and is expecting to have a top line of INR 100 crore in FY24. Founded by Vedant Lamba as a YouTube channel in 2017, Mainstreet Marketplace had last year raised pre-seed funding of around USD 125,000 (around INR 1 crore) from angel investors, including Cred founder Kunal Shah.
