SoftBank Corp sells PayTM shares worth Rs.1,631-Cr

SoftBank Corp has sold a 4.52% stake in publicly-listed One 97 Communications Ltd (which owns fintech service PayTM) realising INR 1,630.89 crore. Post thesale, SoftBank would hold a 12.93% stake in the company.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Aug 2017, SoftBank Corp invested INR 8984.80 crore for a 20.55% stake in Paytm. Subsequently, it invested more in the company. The company went public in Nov 2021 and SoftBank Corp made a partial exit as part of the IPO.
