SoftBank Vision Fund plans to invest $35-M in car service co GoMechanic: report

The SoftBank Group is in talks to invest USD 35 million in car service and repair firm GoMechanic. Vision Fund's early-stage talks with GoMechanic are being held around a valuation of USD 600-700 million, with Malaysian sovereign fund Khazanah and existing investor Tiger Global also planning to invest in the USD 100 million funding round. Founded in 2016, GoMechanic claims to have serviced and repaired more than two million cars in India through its service centers, at costs 40% less than automakers' own offerings.
