Spacetech startup GalaxEye raises $3.5 M led by Speciale Invest

Bengaluru-based GalaxEye Space, a spacetech start-up focused on earth observation, has raised USD 3.5 million in a seed round of funding led by Speciale Invest, a venture capital firm focused on deep-tech. The funding round also saw participation from Artha India Ventures, Veda VC, Anicut Capital, Upsparks and a consortium of entrepreneurs including Nithin Kamath (CEO of Zerodha), Prashant Pitti (CEO of EaseMyTrip), Abhishek Goyal (CEO of Tracxn) and Ganpathy Subramaniam (Partner at Celesta Capital). Founded in 2020, GalaxEye was a part of the FalconX immersion program 2022, based in Silicon Valley, California. The firm claims that its data fusion technology will bring insights and data from space, enabling satellite constellations to perform all-weather imaging at all times without atmospheric interference. The funds will be used to hire talent and to accelerate the launch of a multi-sensor satellites for earth observation. This will also mark the beginning of commercialisation with GalaxEye customers across the US, Europe and Africa.
