Spacetech startup Skyroot attracts Rs.225-Cr led by Temasek
Hyderabad-based spacetech startup Skyroot Aerospace, has raised USD 27.5 million (approx INR 225 crore) in a pre-Series C funding round led by Singapore-based global investment firm Temasek. The latest round will take the total funding raised so far by Skyroot to USD 95 million. The company plans to use the funding raised to enter the global satellite launch services market with multiple orbital launches planned over the next couple of years. It will make increased investments in infrastructure, reinforcement of its technology leadership, attracting top-tier talent, and enhancing its launch frequency and capabilities, while maintaining a lean and agile core team. Skyroot was set up in 2018 by a couple of former ISRO scientists Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka.
