SphitiCap launches $500-M fund to invest in seed-stage startups
Noida-based venture capital firm SphitiCap has launched its first venture fund for early-stage startups. The fund has a target corpus of USD 500 million and is expected to mark its first closure at USD 125-150 million in the current quarter. It will also have a green shoe option. The sector-agnostic fund will invest between USD 0.5 million to USD 15 million in seed and Series A rounds in startups in sectors such as cleantech, fintech defense, logistics and supply chain. It would invest in about 15-20 startups this quarter and is currently in the due diligence stage for 5 firms.
