Startups-focused online B-school Stoa raises $1.5 M
Stoa School, an online business school focussed on developing talent for the startup economy, has raised USD 1.5 million from the founders of top startups such as Nithin Kamath (Zerodha), Kunal Shah (CRED), Gagan Biyani (Udemy), Richa Kar (Zivame), Raveen Sastry (Myntra), Phanindra Sama (RedBus) and Vaibhav Domkundwar (Better Capital), among others. The investment will help Stoa scale up its capacity to serve more learners, introduce new programmes as well as build tech for running its online-first campus. Through its flagship 6-month part-time StoaMBA programme, Stoa School seeks to help professionals join and grow in business management roles at a fraction of the cost and time of a traditional MBA.
