Sterlite-backed green energy co Serentica raises $250-M more from KKR: report

Sterlite Power-backed, Gurugram-headquartered green energy firm Serentica Renewables, which caters to commercial and industrial consumers, has raised USD 250 million more from investment firm KKR in a second round from the private equity firm. This takes the total equity investment to USD 650 million from KKR. Serentica has tied up INR 8,000 crore worth of contracts with equipment manufacturers and EPC contractors for solar equipment. Serentica, till now, focused on the mining industry. It will now focus on export-oriented ones, data centres and pharma companies.
