Student startup Bookvala attracts $180-K
Students founded startup Bookvala has raised USD 180,000 at a valuation of USD 1.8 million from Avidity Services, Hemant Wadhwa (Director of Unicom India Pvt Ltd), Prabhdeep (Partner of The Little Seekers), Rajeev Gupta (Director of Godavri Trading) and Rajesh Bansal. Bookvala claims to enable senior secondary students buy and resell their books in 3 minutes with a coin-based system. The company's founders include Varun Bali, Raghav Bali, Lakshay Kalra and Ujjwal Pratap Singh, who are undergraduate students from Chitkara University. The startup will use the funds for technology building and bolster its presence in the market.
