Symbio Generrics completes fund raise from Ascent Capital
Bengaluru-based Symbio Generrics India, a specialised Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) & Intermediates manufacturing and marketing organisation, has completed its equity fund raise from Ascent Capital. Deepak Gowda of Ascent Capital had joined the company's board in March 2022. The funds raised from Ascent will be utilised towards undertaking strategic acquisitions, establishing a R&D facility and ramping up manufacturing capacity. Founded by its Executive Chairman, Salim Shaikh, in 2011, the company's R&D centre is housed in Bengaluru while the manufacturing plant is located at Dobbaspet, near Bengaluru. The company is in the process of acquiring another manufacturing facility.
