Tea cafe chain Chaayos raises $45-M led by Alpha Wave
New Delhi-based Sunshine Teahouse Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of Chaayos, has raised USD 45 million as part of its Series C funding round led by Alpha Wave Capital. The current funding round also saw participation from Chaayos' other backers such as Tiger Global, Elevation Capital and Think Investments. Alpha Wave invested INR 207.6 crore in the round which values the company at USD 250 million. Chaayos is a chain of tea cafes spread across New Delhi, NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Its around 150 outlets offer dine-in and takeaway options to customers.
