Tech sports brand Game Theory raises $2-M from Rainmatter Capital, others
Bengaluru-based tech sports brand Game Theory has raised USD 2 million in a pre-Series A funding round from Rainmatter Capital, WEH Ventures, Prequate Advisory, Rohan Bopanna and Balakrishna Adiga. The proceeds will be used to develop technology, build skill-based matchmaking, establish coaching products and expand the reach of smart sporting facilities across the country. Founded in 2018 by Sudeep Kulkarni, Game Theory provides interactive features such as real-time score keeping, video highlights, pro-sports like stats and on-court matchmaking to enhance the overall experience for users. In addition to existing sports such as badminton, swimming, and squash, it will soon introduce tennis, table tennis, and football. Game Theory had earlier raised USD 500,000 from Techstars and others in 2020.
