The Ayurveda Experience attracts $6-M from Anicut Capital, Sharrp Ventures, others

The Ayurveda Experience (TAE), a Gurugram-based retailer of ayurveda-based personal care products, has raised INR 50 crore (about USD 6 million) in its third round of institutional funding led by Anicut Capital. Other investors who participated in the funding round include Mariwala family office Sharrp Ventures and Singularity Ventures, Riverwalk Holdings and Emerge Capital. TAE claims to retail over 100 stock-keeping units across three beauty and personal care brands – Iyura, Ajara and A. Modernica; and one supplement, food and beverage brand Ayuttva. Iyura accounts for about 80% of the direct-to-consumer (D2C) company's revenues. The fresh capital will be used to enter new geographies and expand TAE's base in existing markets – North America, Europe, Australia and India. It will also be used to enhance the company's research and development, supply chain and manufacturing capabilities.
