UP govt earmarks Rs.100-Cr for seed funding, Rs.20-Cr for agri accelerator fund

In its endeavour to give a boost to the startup ecosystem in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced a slew of sops in its Budget 2023-24. The government has earmarked INR 100 crore to provide seed funding for selected startups through incubators. The budget has also made a provision of INR 20 crore to set up an agriculture accelerator fund to promote and encourage agritech startups in the rural areas of the state. The government has also earmarked INR 60 crore to develop the Uttar Pradesh Information Technology and Startups Policy. UP is home to 50 incubators and 7,200 startups.
