Upskilling platform Scaler raises $900-K from Kunal Shah, Deepinder Goyal, others
Bengaluru-based tech upskilling startup Scaler has raised funding from angel investors such as Kunal Shah, Deepinder Goyal, Amrish Rau and Mekin Maheshwari. Shah put in USD 500,000 followed by Rau who invested USD 200,000. Goyal and Maheshwari invested USD 100,000 each. Scaler focuses on upskilling college students and tech professionals. The company offers an intensive six-month computer science course through live classes. Jupiter founder Jitendra Gupta and General Catalysts partner Anand Chandrasekaran had also invested in Scaler. Sequoia Capital India is the largest investor shareholder in the company with a 22.52% stake, whereas Lightrock and Tiger Global hold 9.66% and 8.1% stake, respectively.
