Webtoon startup Toonsutra raises funding from Sony Innovation Fund
India-focused webtoon startup Toonsutra, incubated by CA Media-backed Graphic India, has raised funding from the Sony Innovation Fund (SIF). Last year, Toonsutra had raised USD 2 million in a pre-seed round from investors including Lightspeed Venture's Jeremy Liew, Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin and 9GAG cofounder Ray Chan,. Toonsutra has developed a webtoon comics application. It aims at featuring a range of content for audiences across superhero, fantasy, romance, sci-fi, Bollywood, mythology, action, and more.
