India-focused investment firm WestBridge Capital has picked up a USD 236 million stake in Nasdaq-listed, San Jose-California headquartered cloud security company Zscaler. This investment makes Zscaler - founded and headed by Jay Chaudhry - the second listed SaaS company in WestBridge's portfolio, after Freshworks. ZScaler claims to accelerate digital transformation for client firms so they can be more agile, efficient, resilient, and secure. Its Zero Trust Exchange platform protects customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location. Jay Chaudhry had earlier founded a series of successful companies, including AirDefense, CipherTrust, CoreHarbor, and SecureIT.
