Zomato to acquire 8% stake in logistics tech co. Shiprocket for $75-M
Publicly listed food delivery services firm Zomato Ltd is to invest around USD 75 million in fellow New Delhi-based Bigfoot Retail Solutions Pvt Ltd, which runs logistics services aggregator Shiprocket, for an around 8% stake. The deal is part of a larger USD 185 million round that Shiprocket is raising. Shiprocket is a B2B logistics-tech company that provides shipping and fulfillment services to direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands and omni-channel sellers. It currently serves over 60,000 brands and merchants across categories such as apparel, electronics, beauty and personal care, grocery, among others.
