Insur-tech co InsuranceDekho acquires insurance distributor in Gujarat IRSS

Jaipur-headquartered online marketplace for insurance policies, InsuranceDekho, has acquired Ahmedabad-headquartered IRSS, an institutional insurance distributor in Gujarat. IRSS founder Kuldeep Trivedi and his team will join InsuranceDekho. This deal comes less than a month after InsuranceDekho acquired Mumbai-based SME insurance distribution startup, Verak. In February, InsuranceDekho raised about USD 150 million in a mix of equity and debt in a Series A round led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and TVS Capital Funds.
