Reliance to acquire 50% in Sosyo Hajoori Beverages

Publicly listed Reliance Industries Ltd, via its unit Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) - the FMCG arm and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL) - will acquire 50% equity stake in Gujarat-headquartered Sosyo Hajoori Beverages Pvt Ltd (SHBPL), which operates a beverage business under the flagship brand “Sosyo”. The promoters, Hajoori family, will continue to own the remaining stake in SHBPL. Established in 1923 by Abbas Hajoori, SHBPL sells several beverage brands including Sosyo, Kashmira, Lemee, Ginlim, Runner, Opener, Hajoori Soda and S'eau.
