Ad agency Zoo Media acquires D2C-focused marketing co The Starter Labs

Zoo Media has acquired fellow Mumbai-headquartered marketing startup The Starter Labs. Following the deal, The Starter Labs' founders will join the advertising company and work as managing partners; while its employees will operate from Zoo Media offices across Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Gurgaon. The Starter Labs claims to have expertise in building D2C brands through a digital-first approach. Including the current acquisition, Zoo Media owns 11 portfolio brands including FoxyMoron, Pollen, The Rabbit Hole, Mammoth and Noesis. The latest acquisition is expected to help Zoo Media's D2C capabilities and its global growth strategy.
