Adani Power buys Dahanu Power for INR 815-Cr

Publicly listed Adani Power Ltd, via North Maharashtra Power Ltd (NMPL), is to acquire the 500 MW Adani Dahanu Thermal Power Station (ADTPS) located at Dahanu, District Palghar, Maharashtra on a ‘going concern’ basis, for INR 815 crore in cash. In addition, the company will spend another INR 450 crore over the next five years towards life extension capex for the ADTPS power plant.ADTPS supplies power under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to the Mumbai power distribution circle of Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd.
