Apollo Hospitals to buy 64% stake in Guwahati's Excelcare Hospital for Rs.210-Cr
Chennai-based, publicly-listed Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd is to acquire a 64% stake in Asclepius Hospitals and Healthcare, which operates the Excelcare Hospital, a 180-bed multi-specialty hospital in Guwahati, at an enterprise value of INR 210 crore. Apollo will execute the deal via its subsidiary, Assam Hospitals Ltd, which runs a 219-bed hospital in Guwahati. Commissioned in 2017, Excelcare Hospital has been built on 4.5 acres of land, with a built-up area of 2 lakh sq ft. The hospital can be expanded to add another 100-150 beds.
