BPO firm WNS buys 2 European cos for $156-M
Mumbai-headquartered, NYSE-listed BPO firm, WNS, has acquired The Smart Cube, a London, UK-based research and analytics (R&A) player focused on procurement and supply chain, and OptiBuy, a Warsaw, Poland-based provider of procurement platform consulting and implementation solutions. Founded in 2003, The Smart Cube provides digitally-led market intelligence and analytics solutions. The company has over 800 global employees including a leadership team with CXO-level relationships. WNS paid USD 125 million for the acquisition, including up-front payment and expected earn-outs. Founded in 2010, OptiBuy provides procurement platform consulting and implementation solutions. The company helps clients leverage the capabilities of 3rd party procurement and supply chain platforms including Ivalua, Jaggaer, and O9, and complements WNS' existing offerings with platforms such as Coupa and Ariba. The company has 90 employees. WNS has paid 30 million euros for the acquisition including up-front payment and expected earn-outs.
