Business support service co UDS acquires BFSI-focused Athena BPO
Updater Services Ltd (UDS), a Chennai-based business support services firm, has acquired a controlling interest in Athena BPO, a BFSI tele-sales Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) player. Altamount Capital was the financial advisor and Phoenix Legal and IC Universal Legal were the legal advisors to the transaction. Athena provides BPO services banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, consumer durable companies and telecoms. UDS current business support services include sales enablement, employee background verification, audit and assurance, warehousing management, institutional catering, and general staffing.
