CCI approves merger of 3 entities into Lloyds Engineering Works

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has cleared the merger of Lloyds Infrastructure & Construction , Metalfab Hightech , and Techno Industries into Lloyds Engineering Works. Lloyds Engineering Works is engaged in the design and manufacturing of heavy equipment and machinery for sectors such as hydrocarbon, naval, defence, steel, power, marine & construction contracting.The merger aims to integrate the operations of Lloyds Infrastructure & Construction, which focuses on road infrastructure and industrial civil works; Metalfab Hightech, which specializes in lightweight engineering and steel structures; and Techno Industries, a manufacturer of elevators, escalators, motors, and pumps.The CCI has also approved the acquisition of a 7.14% stake in Lloyds Engineering Works by Thriveni Earthmovers. The transaction involved a block deal executed through the BSE on February 9, 2026. Thriveni Earthmovers provides contract mining services, covering activities such as exploration, drilling, excavation, hauling, and mineral processing. The firm also engages in coal trading, solid block manufacturing, and investment activities.
