CCL acquires six coffee brands from UK unit of Swedish co Lofbergs for $734-K

Hyderabad-headquartered CCL Products (India), formerly Continental Coffee Ltd, has acquired six coffee brands from Food Brands Group, a UK-based subsidiary of Swedish coffee roaster Lofbergs Group for around GBP 550,000 (USD 734,000). The brands are: Percol, Rocket Fuel, Plantation Wharf, The London Blend, Perk Up and Percol Fusion. The deal will enable CCL to access major British supermarkets. Founded in 1906, Lofbergs is headquartered in Karlstad, Sweden and has a production equivalent to more than 10 million cups of coffee per day. It has its roasting houses in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Latvia, and sells coffee in about ten markets in Northern Europe.
