Centre For Sight acquires 51% in Maharashtra’s Laxmi Eye Hospital

New Delhi-headquartered healthcare chain Centre for Sight has acquired a 51% equity stake in Navi Mumbai-based Laxmi Eye Hospital .The company has also allocated INR 300-500 crore for further expansion across west India over the next few years. It plans to add around 15-20 centres a year over the next four years, for a total of 150. It currently has 82 centres across 40 cities.Laxmi Eye Hospital serves around 2.5 million patients across four locations - Panvel, Khargar, Dombivili, and Kamothe.Private equity firm ChrysCapital recently picked up a minority stake in the eyecare chain for USD 100 million at a valuation of USD 350-400 million.
