CleverTap acquires in-app calling tech startup Patch
Mumbai-based user engagement and retention company Clevertap has acquired New Delhi-based tech start-up Patch, which helps companies embed various channels of customer engagement such as calling, messaging and push notifications into their consumer-facing apps. Patch is designed to provide contextual communications between companies and consumers. Its in-app calling aims to make two-way communication privacy-compliant, as there is no need to disclose caller or receiver telephone numbers or personal data.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Jul-14 and Oct-19, CleverTap raised $70.6 M from Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital India, and Accel India. (Subscribers to the database can login to view the valuation, deal structuring and other transaction details.)
