Commodities player Adani Wilmar acquires sick rice processing unit in West Bengal

Adani Wilmar Ltd (AWL) has acquired a rice-processing unit in Burdwan in West Bengal. The company intends to work closely with farmers in the state to promote locally grown rice varieties. AWL had reportedly collected information about 20 other non-performing and closed rice-processing units in the district and the company planned to acquire more such units. AWL has 22 own factories and has sourcing arrangement products from 28 more plants across the country.
