Consumer benefit marketplace Thriwe acqui-hires financial wellness platform UCare

Thriwe, a Delhi-based consumer benefits marketplace, has acquired Mumbai-based health and financial wellness platform UCare Health (UCare) in an all-cash deal. This is the company's sixth acquisition in the last six years and as part of the latest deal, UCare's over 100 employees along with its founder will join Thriwe as a part of its larger global expansion plan. Started in 2017, UCare Health claims to empower subscribers globally to lead healthier and better lives. Its preventive Health + Care platform brings healthcare & emergency services to the customer's smartphone, at the touch of a button. The firm's services include call for an Ambulance 24 x 7, tele-consult with doctors 24 x 7, discounted medicines and lab tests and remote monitoring of one's family's health. Founded in the year 2011 by Dhruv Verma, an XLRI alumnus, Thriwe has headquarters in India and offices across the UAE, Singapore, London, and Florida. It has raised funding from YourNest and Africa's Ison Networks. The company has allocated USD 15 million for the growth of UCare for the next few years.
