Estee Lauder acquires residual stake in Ayurveda brand Forest Essentials
New York, USA-based cosmetics brand The Estee Lauder Companies is to acquire the remaining 51% stake in New Delhi-based luxury Ayurveda brand Forest Essentials .Founded in 2000 by Mira Kulkarni, Forest Essentials offers Ayurvedic skincare and haircare products and operates approximately 200 freestanding stores.Estee Lauder had initially acquired a 20% stake in Forest in 2008, which was increased to 49% in 2013. Post the latest deal, Forest Essentials' operations will continue from New Delhi, led by Mira Kulkarni and Samrath Bedi.
For FY25, Forest Essentials had reported about INR 572 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 128 Cr in PAT.
