Eyewear retailer Lenskart acquires 80% in Spanish sunglass maker Meller for Rs 406-Cr

Eyewear retail unicorn Lenskart through its Singapore subsidiary has acquired 80% stake in Spain-based Stellio Ventures, the parent entity of Meller Sunglasses for a consideration of INR 406 crore. Lenskart will pay INR 230.1 crore to Stellio’s investor shareholders and INR 176.2 crore to its founders, which includes both fixed and deferred components.Founded in 2014, Meller sells sunglasses and accessories through both retail store and e-commerce options.
