HCL to acquire Croatia-based RPA firm Robotiq.ai for $10.23 M

Publicly listed HCL Technologies, via its HCLSoftware division, is set to acquire Zagreb, Croatia-based Robotiq.ai in an all-cash deal at an enterprise value of Euro 9-M (about USD 10.23 M). The transaction will be executed through HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech, which will acquire 100% of the outstanding equity in the firm.Founded in 2018, Robotiq.ai provides enterprise-grade robotic process automation (RPA) solutions for banks, insurance firms, and telecommunications providers. The company plans to use the integration of its technology into HCLSoftware’s systems to enable AI-driven workflows to automate tasks in applications that lack adequate or available APIs.This strategic acquisition is intended to bolster HCLSoftware’s AI-driven robotic process automation capabilities to meet enterprise demand for systems capable of reasoning and executing tasks within complex business environments. The deal aims to provide clients with automation that functions as part of a governed process across the enterprise.
