Healthcare player Ujala Cygnus to buy 60% in Punjab-based Amandeep Hospitals
Delhi-based hospital chain Ujala Cygnus, backed by PE firm General Atlantic, is to acquire a 60% stake in Amritsar, Punjab-based Amandeep Hospitals which operates five super speciality hospitals with more than 800 operational beds in Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.Post acquisition, the hospitals will run on an asset-light model, barring one or two units where Amandeep Hospitals already has ownership of the unit building. Cygnus will have close to 3,000 operational beds.
