IHCL to sell entire 25.52% stake in Taj GVK Hotels to GVK-Bhupal family

Publicly listed Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has agreed to sell its entire 25.52% stake in Hyderabad-based Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts Ltd to its JV partner, the GVK-Bhupal family. Upon completion of this transaction, the GVK-Bhupal family will become the promoters, holding 74.99% in Taj GVK. This move will convert IHCL’s joint venture with the GVK-Bhupal family into long-term management agreements for Taj GVK's hotel portfolio.The Taj GVK portfolio currently includes Taj Krishna, Hyderabad; Taj Deccan, Hyderabad; Taj Club House, Chennai; Taj Chandigarh; and Vivanta Hyderabad, Begumpet. IHCL will continue to manage these six operational hotels, as well as an upcoming 256-key Taj hotel in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, which is slated to open in 2026.
