Makaibari estate-owner Luxmi Group acquires UK's Brew Tea Co.

Kolkata-based Luxmi Group, which owns the Makaibari estate in Darjeeling, has acquired a majority stake in UK-based Brew Tea Co ., a speciality tea company focused on whole-leaf teas. The firm’s co-founders, Phil and Aideen Kirby, will retain a 20% stake and continue to lead Brew Tea Co.Founded in 2012, Brew Tea Co. specializes in loose leaf tea and tea bags and claims to serve nearly 10,000 homes across the UK.
