Malaysian energy co. Gentari puts India green mobility unit on the block

Malaysia-based energy firm Gentari , a subsidiary of Petronas, has initiated a process to sell its India-based green mobility unit. This decision follows a previously unsuccessful attempt by the company to divest a significant minority stake in its Indian renewable energy generation business last year.The unit manages electric vehicle charging infrastructure, operating 3,000 charging points across 11 states in northern, western, central, and southern India. These facilities are located in urban centers as well as highway-based locations such as hotels and restaurants. The company manages these assets independently and through a partnership with Shell.
