PhysicsWallah buys addnl 11% stake for Rs.72-Cr to acquire UPSC test-prep co. Sarrthi IAS

Edtech unicorn PhysicsWallah has acquired an additional 11% stake in the Delhi-based UPSC coaching institute Sarrthi IAS for INR 71.81 crore, increasing its total holding in the company from 40% to 51%. PhysicsWallah intends to acquire 85% of the company's fully diluted equity share capital across six tranches between FY26 and FY31.Founded in June 2023, Sarrthi IAS enables online and offline coaching and test preparation for civil services and other competitive examinations. The company reported a turnover of INR 76.52 crore in FY26, representing a 169% growth from the INR 28.46 crore reported in the previous fiscal year.
