Ramkrishna Forgings to acquire Multitech Auto & its units in Rs.227-Cr deal

Publicly listed, Kolkata-headquartered Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd is to acquire Jamshedpur-based Multitech Auto Pvt Ltd (and its unit Mal Metalliks Pvt Ltd) for about INR 212 crore. In parallel, Ramkrishna will also acquire Mal Auto Products Pvt Ltd, which owns a land parcel of 10 acres, for INR 15 crore. Multitech Auto manufactures assembly top cover, shift cylinder, assembly gear, differential case, various types of hubs and rollers for HCV brakes, among others. The two firms have a capacity to manufacture 21,600 mt per annum of machined SG & CI castings. Multitech Auto has the capacity for a bar draw facility of 6,000 mt. Incorporated in January 2004, Multitech Auto Pvt. Ltd. had an overall turnover of Rs 300.23 crore for the financial year ending March 2023. For financial year 2022 and 2021, MAPL reported revenue of Rs 201.97 crore and Rs 107.84 crore respectively.
