RRP Electronics acquires contract manufacturer Vital Electronics

Mumbai-based RRP Electronics is to acquire a 100% stake in Mumbai-based Vital Electronics . The acquisition is structured in four tranches, with 50% ownership targeted by March 2027 and full acquisition expected by March 2028. Following the acquisition, RRP Electronics plans to integrate and merge the company with one of the listed entities within the RRP Group.Founded in 1994 by Rajkumar Kishore Kapur and Mahesh Vasanji Maroo, Vital Electronics provides contract manufacturing solutions, including printed circuit board assembly, surface mount technology, electromechanical assembly, testing, system integration and box-build solutions.RRP Electronics intends to use this acquisition to extend its capabilities beyond its existing outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) and assembly, testing, marking and packaging (ATMP) operations. The acquisition is intended to create a manufacturing value chain by integrating semiconductor chips onto printed circuit boards and manufacturing complete electronic systems. This will serve customers across sectors, including defence, automotive, industrial, telecom and consumer electronics.
