Social gaming platform Zupee acquires Australian storytelling co. Nucanon

Gurugram-based social gaming and entertainment platform Zupee has acquired Sydney, Australia-based storytelling platform Nucanon .This acquisition is expected to advance Zupee's objective of developing a sophisticated platform for interactive story entertainment, facilitating an ecosystem where creators can build branching narratives, dynamic characters, and AI-powered worlds that engage a broad audience.Founded in 2023, Nucanon enables creators to design interactive, immersive narrative experiences for games and digital worlds.Following the acquisition, Nucanon's founding team will lead product innovation from Zupee's headquarters in India.

Between Mar 2020 and Jan 2022, Zupee had attracted about USD 151 M from Alpha Wave Global, Orios VP, WestCap Group, Z47, Tomales Bay Capital, WestCap Group, Nepean Capital and others.For FY24, Zupee had reported about INR 1,123 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 146 Cr in PAT.
