VideoVerse acquires graphics engine Optikka
Mumbai-headquartered VideoVerse, which provides a video editing platform, has acquired US-based, AI-powered design system Optikka. The acquisition is aimed at expanding media, design, and publishing capabilities within VideoVerse's real-time content automation platform, Magnifi.ai. As part of the acquisition, VideoVerse has hired Optikka's founder and creative technologist Charles Duncan as well as creative strategist Nick Arciero - both of whom have worked across multiple Disney business divisions. This is the second acquisition in 2023 by VideoVerse, which is backed by A91 Partners and Alpha Wave Global. In April the startup bought Reely.ai, an AI-based content creation and social media distribution company.
