Wipro Consumer Care to acquire Philippine personal care player S Brands

Wipro Consumer Care International plans to acquire the Philippines-based S Brands Consumer Care . This transaction marks the 16th global acquisition for the firm and its second in the Philippines.S Brands is a personal care company with a portfolio that includes the hair treatment brand KERATINplus, hygiene brand AlcoPlus, powder deodorant brand DeoPlus, hair care brand Empress, and the teenage fragrance brand Fiona Cologne. The firm plans to use this acquisition to strengthen its personal care portfolio, accelerate growth, and build scale across the South-East Asian region.Following this acquisition, the Philippines is expected to become Wipo Consumer’s third-largest market outside of India, following Malaysia and China, with annual revenues exceeding INR 1,000 crore.
